The Horned melon is a strange fruits that's native to Southern Africa and also introduced to other countries of the world including Australia, and New Zealand.The fruit resemblance to kiwi,but not biologically linked to kiwi.The scientific name of Horned melon is cucumis metuliferus.
The name Horned melon is comes from its unusual appearance. The outer layer of the fruit is covered with small spikes.The inside of the fruit is resemble like cucumber, not to kiwi.
The root and leaves are also used for various application, but the fruit is mostly used in eating raw, cooking and in medicine.The seed also contain high concentration of beneficial nutrient organic compound that's are useful for healthy growth.
