Red chockberry is a multi stem shrub,and is native to N.S to Florida and extreme Texas.Although chockberry fruit persist through much of the winter having little importance to wildlife,they are eaten by the game bird and sun bird and bears.
In spring cluster of white to pink,5 petaled flower are appear,flower are followed by abundant of red glossy fruit.fruit ripen in late summer.Fruit are sometime use to make jam and jellies.
